Urine Bags

Urine bags are attached to the exit end of the catheter to collect the out
flow of urine that can be drained out and disposed later.
There are two types of urine drainage bags; a leg bag, which is a smaller
device that attaches by elastic bands to the leg. A leg bag is usually worn
during the day since it fits discreetly under pants or skirts, and is easily
emptied into the toilet. The other type of drainage bag is a larger drainage
device called the bed side drainage bag, that may be used during the night.
This device is usually hung on the bed or placed on the floor.
Urine collection bags are designed to suit a variety of patient needs.
Options include sterile or non-sterile; long or short tube; leg bags or
night bags etc. These bags are usually discreet, portable pouch ideal for
any situation where access to toilet facilities is limited. They can be used
by males and females alike. They are easy to use and can be used without any
assistance. They are leak proof and can measure the urine output.
