Surgical Pin Cutters

They are cutting tools used to cut the wires and pins implanted during the
orthopedic surgeries to fix the fractures. They are forged from stainless
steel and reinforced with tungsten carbide or specially tempered tool steel.
There are different side and end cutters used for pins and wires of
different gauges. The handles are so formed that they are able to provide
more power for cutting and absorb the jerk of wire cutting. The carbide
inserts in the jaws can be replaced to enhance the life of the tool.
The cutter must be selected as per the pin diameter. The cutter diameter
capacity shold not be surpassed as it damages the cutter. Further instead of
the ends of the cutting edge, the center of the edge should be used.
