Rehabilitation Aids
Rehabilitation
is a treatment or treatments designed to facilitate the process of recovery
from injury, illness, or disease to as normal a condition as possible.
Rehabilitation addresses the patient's physical, psychological, and
environmental needs. The main types of rehabilitation are physical,
occupational, and speech therapy.
Purpose of Rehabilitation Aids:
- The various forms of aids help in faster recovery of the patients
since they are user friendly.
- Use of these rehabilitation products lead to a less painfull
recovery procedure and within a short period of time the patients
can return to their normal condition. Aids such as belts, braces,
wrist binder, walking sticks, crepe bandage are the most commonly
used ones.

Lumboscarel Belts :
Lumboscarel Belts comes with suspenders (premium or duluxe). One can also
find multi-utility Lumbosacrel belts which comes in small, medium and large
sizes. Then there are semi-elastic and full elastic tummy trimmers which act
as good abdominal supports. They are either semi-elastic or full elastic.
The size of rib belt varies between 28''- 44'' while chest binder adjusts to
all kinds of figures, inguinal hernia belts is either single or double
padded.
Braces :
Hyperextension Brace (Ash Brace) : The size of Hyperextension brace (ash
brace) is adjustable to suit individual requirements. Then there is meek
clavicle brace which comes in variety of sizes starting from small to large.
Cervical Collar :
Cervical collar is soft or semi-rigid or adjustable. Its size varies
between small and extra large. Philadelphia collar, size of which varies
between small and extra large.
Shoulder Immobilizer :
Shoulder immobilizer comes in small, medium or large size and provides good
support to the elbow. Apart from this there are various other supports
available like the regular pouch arm sling, cuff and collar, wrist binder
with double lock, wrist brace, wrist splint all of which come in various
sizes to suit individual requirements. Elbow support and finger cot are
other aids commonly used.
Knee support :
This in various sizes ranging from small to large. Other aids include the
knee brace, ankle binder, knee cap all meant for fast recovery of any joint
problem or fractures etc.
Walking Sticks :
These provide ample support while walking and comes in various shapes and
adjustable heights. To name a few of them, Adjustable walker has a dimension

Auxiliary crutches have adjustable
height.
Rubber heel :
Rubber heel is used to fit cast on any leg, cast shoe is meant for good
support for the foot .
Infra Red lamp :
Infra-red lamp is used to give infra-red rays as and when required,
operates on 50hz.220V A.C.main.
Crepe Bandage :
Crepe bandage can be stretched to alter the length. As such the length can
vary between 5.0cm*4.5mtr and 15.0cm*4.5mtr etc.
