Chalazion Curettes
Chalazion Curettes are used for excision of chalazia, cysts, eyelid tumours
and pterygium ablation. The curette is loop like (open cup) with a razor
edge.
Most curettes come with a round or oval, closed-cup design. Some may have
the open cup ring type design for specific purposes. The dental curettes
used in dental surgery come in many sizes and in straight or angled shapes.
The one to be used depends upon the nature of the socket, curvature of the
roots of teeth that were in the socket, and the location of the cavity.
